And how can one overcome these obstacles?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Human Factor and Employee Resistance\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Back in 2013 Forrester <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/go.forrester.com\/blogs\/13-09-17-how_to_succeed_with_crm_the_critical_success_factors_part_3\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">published an interesting paper<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> summarizing a survey of 600 individuals responsible for CRM. They pointed out the following fact: 42% of all respondents cited \u2018people\u2019 issues as a source of problems.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More precisely, the most prominent \u2018human-based difficulties included:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cultural resistance to adopting new patterns of work (45%)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Flawed user adoption process (44%)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lack of planning and attention paid to change management (42%)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bad leadership (38%)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No matter how efficient and convenient your CRM of choice might be unless you persuade your own team, you are almost doomed to fail.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Steps to Make\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are an experienced team that successfully built <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/evercodelab.com\/cases\/cadfem-version-2\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">several CRM solutions<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. To succeed, we thoroughly interview our customers before, during, and after work. We drew some important lessons and would like to share them with you.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; First of all, you should not impose a new CRM solution arbitrarily, with no prior consultation. Ask the members of your team about their preferences and priorities. These guidelines need to be taken into account while choosing a CRM. Customization is not a big deal nowadays, so you are not likely to experience problems in this respect.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among other things, the most popular questions to be asked are:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How could a fresh CRM facilitate your professional activities?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Which unnecessary routines can be removed or reduced?\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What are the top five features you would like to see in the CRM?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Second, communicate the advantages of your CRM to the employees. Make sure that they know: they will also benefit from the new framework. These points should address your people as individuals, with their personal interests.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Highlight the fact that CRM is not exclusively a means of control, monitoring, and assessment. It is also a mechanism for rewards and incentives.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You are also to demonstrate that the new system will strengthen &#8211; not weaken &#8211; their connection with customers. Consequently, your team members will be more likely to derive their own interests.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Third, train your employees properly in advance. What is even more important, your staff is to be educated and couched from the bottom up. It means that your courses shall meet such criteria as being:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Relevant, with no unnecessary generalizations, and software-specific<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Iterative, with each stage properly captured and repeated when needed\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Impact-driven, with success measured as practically as possible\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Fourth, do not make your CRM too sophisticated (we at Evercode know that excessively complex things cause anxiety). We are not alone in this opinion. As <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/crm\/simple\/#:~:text=CRM%20can%20be%20as%20sweeping,that%20is%20easier%20to%20use.\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salesforce<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> puts it, \u2018approximately 72% of CRM users say that they would trade functional complexity for a simple CRM that is easier to use.\u2019 So it would be a reasonable thing to do to check your solution against these criteria, at the very least:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Does every screen of your workflow tell the users what they must do next\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is your statistics easy to visualize, read, and, of course, interpret\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Fifth, make it user-friendly. The key requirement here is to have a full-fledged mobile version.
